ARA is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Manager to oversee large ARA proposal efforts. A majority of ARA s business is focused on research and engineering services for national security customers. As a Senior Proposal Manager, you ll join ARA s highly experienced and dynamic Corporate Development team, which is responsible for company level large opportunity and business development activities including management of large strategic proposals.

What You ll Do As a Senior Proposal Manager

• Support the Director of Business Development in the ARA Proposal Center. The ARA Proposal Center interfaces with ARA Business Units to oversee the development of large strategic proposals.
• Lead a dedicated team of proposal professionals including a book boss, pricing-to-win lead, technical professionals, teaming/subcontracts lead, costing lead, and graphics lead.
• Analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) and developing strategies, schedules, and overall approaches to meet large proposal timelines and completion requirements.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for cradle to grave proposal efforts including planning, directing support staff, technical inputs from business units and teammates, conducting reviews, and ensuring end products meet ARA s high standards.

Senior Proposal Manager Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree with a preferred focus on engineering/science, business or a related field
• Demonstrated Federal Government proposal knowledge with a focus on larger scale proposals in the national security services domain.
• Experience in proposal leadership for large government services proposal efforts, including RFP analysis; assembly of large teams; development of technical, management, past performance, and cost volumes; color team reviews; and oral presentations.
• 10-12 years of experience with a Bachelor s degree or 8-10 years of experience with a Master s degree
• 5 years direct experience in proposal writing, as evidenced by substantial written contributions to several large proposals.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
  

Senior Proposal Manager Preferred Qualifications

• Master s degree with a preferred focus on engineering/science, business or a related field
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain minimum of a Department of Defense Secret clearance preferred.
