Who We Are:
Magic Fuel Games, a Playstack studio, was founded by experienced game developers to build simulation games with fresh ideas and global appeal. We are looking for new team members who are passionate about games to join us on this journey.
The team is important to us, as we believe that it is the people who define the culture of the company and create its successes. We want to work with energetic, creative contributors who bring a fun vibe to the process of making games.
We are looking for an Associate Designer with a passion for mobile gaming and game development and technology. This is a temporary position, and is a fully remote opportunity.
Who You Are:
- Recent college grad in game design program or 1yr of game design experience
- You play video games and want to be a game designer in the industry
- Created your own games and released them to the public
- A strong appetite to learn from industry veterans
- High energy, positive attitude, and creative thinker
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for gaming: playing, deconstructing and creating
- Available to work full-time until the end of December 2022 (remote)
How You'll Contribute:
- In collaboration with the team, by designing and implementing new levels, content or tutorials
- Produce core game designs, documentation, balance sheets, etc. for teams to execute from
- By working with our players and community to understand their priorities and feedback
- Assess and apply qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve game engagement, monetization, and retention
What you'll need:
- Experience bringing designs to life using common editors (Unreal, Unity, etc.)
- Knowledge/ Coursework of Visual Design - Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and basic graphic design sensibilities
- Experience creating in-game content designed
- Comfortable with Slack, JIRA, online collaboration suites such as Confluence
- Passion for simulation games a plus
- (optional) even better if you have experience or haven taken coursework in:
- User Experience (UX; user research, wireframes, iteration)
- Level Design
- Any game development experience (Unity, Unreal, Gamemaker, Processing, etc)
