System One is currently seeking a Process Engineer with experience in metals (steel and titanium) to support the plate operations in Washington and/or Monaca, PA.
- Responsible for process development and improvement.
- Resolving quality-related issues and troubleshooting process related problems.
- Responsible for quality cost control.
- Off standard product dispositions and resolving quality-related issues
- Interaction with production workers on a daily basis on quality related issues.
- Yield and product quality improvement projects
- Ensure product meets customer specifications
- Support customer new product qualifications
- Interface with customers to resolve complaints and rejections
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering,
- Experience with project development, implementation and management is a must
- Experience with process analysis, conducting controlled experiments and the ability to summarize data is also a requirement
- Candidates must also have strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and organization skills
- Qualified candidates must have and problem solving skills, and the ability to perform root cause analysis
- Prior experience with Titanium and/or Titanium Alloys, specifically experience with melting and rolling of flat products, is strongly desired
