Primary Purpose:
As a HRC Business Partner, you will be working with our subject matter experts and other internal stakeholders to analyze, recommend, author, and deliver high quality documents such as policies, procedures, manuals, and handbooks. You will create documents that comply with REDW’s standards on language, writing style, structure, and format. You will be performing daily functions of the HRC department with a responsibility for conducting investigations regarding complaints of harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, unfair treatment, hostile work environment, and other employee related issues reported to Human Resources for clients.
Essential Functions:
Review, research, and author policies and procedures.
Manage updates and make edits to the employee handbook.
Organize, publish, and maintain documents in SharePoint (or similar document management systems) in such a way that information is easily accessible.
Investigate/Respond to client issues and concerns.
Provide coaching to client managers and employees on employee relations issues.
Ensure that client’s policy is followed and legal obligations to employees are met to minimize risk to the Company and maximize employee morale.
Assist in outside investigations and respond to agency charges and claims.
Facilitate conflict resolution between client employees.
Respond to and participate as the client representative regarding unemployment claims and hearings.
Perform analysis of time card audits, turnover, and progressive discipline.
Ensure compliance with Federal/State labor law compliance.
Act as a contact for employee injury and Worker's Compensation.
Assist with responding to subpoenas and other official requests for employee records.
Assist with employee terminations.
Work closely with clients to resolve any payroll questions or issues.
Assists with new hire orientation, onboarding and off-boarding.
Other duties and special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources, organization development, finance/accounting or related field
Three years of policy & procedure technical writing experience
Two years of experience conducting employee relations investigations and participating as the company representative regarding unemployment claims and hearings.
Must have clear understanding of human resources related topics including: employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruitment, performance and development, termination, and state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Must have working knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.
Must have working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
