Who We're Looking For


This role provides a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker and storyteller to make their mark, launch a refreshed brand, and shape the creative direction of Syniverse moving forward. The position requires a proven track record of exceptional creative skills, an understanding of how to use brand to deliver on business goals and objectives, and demonstrable expertise playing and coaching, leading designers and executing across different design disciplines. To be successful in this role, you will ensure that the designs produced speak with a clear strategic direction and are responsible for clearly and effectively communicating this across mediums.


As Head of Brand, you ll set the standard for the entire organization by establishing an extremely high bar for creative excellence. Partnering with LOB marketing teams, product design, and third-party agencies, you ll be instrumental in defining and bringing the visual & voice identity to life, including owning the guidelines and driving consistent expression and execution across digital and physical touchpoints. You will be responsible for inspiring others within Syniverse, inside and outside your own team, to understand and execute on the brand strategy and direction that bring the Syniverse brand to life and create an improved customer and employee experience.


Some Of What You'll Do


  • Own, shape, evolve, and amplify our brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints
  • Oversee production of creative assets including web, video, email, display, presentations, product sheets, social, events, photography, and more
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines and collaborate across various cross functional teams to ensure employees, channels, partners, and other parties are properly utilizing the brand
  • Influence and represent brand in user experience design across digital touchpoints including website and customer portals
  • Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders including LOB marketing leaders, and serve as a senior ambassador of our brand
  • Understand the balance between process and efficient, iterative production to ensure leaders and stakeholders are satisfied with priorities & timelines
  • Build, manage, and mentor a small team of designers/writers in a remote and hybrid workforce environment
  • Monitor the Syniverse brand and competitive landscape to understand current state of identity executions, activation efforts, and market trends and recommend and execute improvements that elevate the brand
  • Build out a set of goals and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the Syniverse brand, communicate its value to the organization, and demonstrate ROI


Education


  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design or other related design discipline


Experience


  • 12+ years of experience in brand identity management, creative direction, design or other related work; agency experience preferred


Requirements


  • Strong creative background with ability to do go from concept to final product across various channels and mediums, digital and physical
  • Skilled presenter who inspires stakeholders, senior management, and your team
  • Solid knowledge of the requirements of the creative process including typical time and resources needed to produce with efficiency quality work on time, and to specification
  • Appreciate the time and place to be stringent about process, understanding when to make shortcut exceptions, and how to balance art with business goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative capabilities, including project management and cross-functional leadership
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
