Summary of Role:

Industrial Engineer to be a part of a team of automation engineers to improve the overall efficiency of the team by executing structured problem solving to correct systematic errors in the development process. This engineer would work on site with a large group of professional engineers in a GlobalFoundries development organization that develop semiconductor test systems. They would use Lean management principles to understand the business process, map the process then work with the engineers to reduce errors and streamline the business process. This is in a rapidly growing business sector of GlobalFoundries with direct exposure to GF engineers, customers and business executives. This is a great role for a person looking to grow their industrial engineering, Quality and business skills in a leading company in the field of mmWave test development.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Understand, document and improve the Development process
  
• Leverage interpersonal skill to perform structured problem solving
  
• Participate in the quote generation process and track quoted support to actual
  
• Understand how to use Microsoft tools to analyze, plot and create executive presentations
  
• Experience creating Microsoft project schedules
  
• Understand the principles of Lean and Agile development to create highly efficient development processes and teams.
  
• Synthesize data and information into a concise and actionable message
  

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  

Required Qualifications:

• Education – BS or MS in Industrial Engineering or Quality
  
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Agile development concepts
  
• Experience organizing a manufacturing floor and driving process efficiency
  
• Language Fluency – English
  
• Physical Capacity Demands – ability to use a computer
  
• Available for work in Burlington Vermont
  
• Must be physically located in Burlington and work on site
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic electrical engineering skills
  
• Basic Mechanical engineering skills
  
• R Programming in a Linux environment
  
• Hands on experience with RF matching and RF test equipment
  
• Knowledge of R or equivalent data analysis software
