Security Program Manager Responsibilities:




  1. Oversee programs and plans for the development of information security products, tools, applications, and/or systems


  2. Deliver security best practices throughout program or product lifecycles


  3. Operationalize and scale enduring programs related to regulatory, customer, and corporate security requirements


  4. Optimize information security processes, elevate work through automation or tooling, and efficiently execute critical tasks


  5. Manage cross-functional infrastructure information technology programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas


  6. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of technical hardware and/or software solutions for information security


  7. Provide hands-on program management during the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation phases of the projects assigned


  8. Perform risk management and change management on projects


  9. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks assigned


  10. Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to define security, risk, and compliance requirements


  11. Demonstrate strong understanding of the supported domain and conduct deep analysis of the problem space


  12. Lead cross-functional teams through full program lifecycles by defining scope/success criteria, setting expectations, establishing timelines, implementing solutions, and measuring success and lessons learned


  13. Define processes end-to-end and drive improvements for maximum impact for information security goals and projects


  14. Operationalize strategic security programs by making them efficient, scalable, and reliable


  15. Develop, implement, and iterate on program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve business goals with defined success criteria


  16. Identify program risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigations


  17. Drive cross-functional and effective communications throughout the program lifecycle, providing the visibility and transparency required to ensure cross-functional team and stakeholder alignment


  18. Ensure smooth transitions of programs we are receiving or handing off


  19. Develop, define and report on program health and success metrics


  20. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)




Minimum Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:




  1. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include 3 years of experience in the following:


  2. Driving projects end-to-end independently, including evaluating, defining and improving end-to-end processes


  3. Program planning and management


  4. Risks and issues management


  5. Cross functional team and stakeholder management


  6. Developing and implementing vulnerability management programs


  7. Developing and implementing security policies and standards


  8. Creating executive reports and presenting it to leadership teams


  9. Driving and supporting compliance related activities


  10. Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
