The Culinary Diet Tech provides nutrition services to patients under.
This position interacts with clinical caregivers, patients, and patient's family members to explain the meal process.Job EssentialsAssists in meal selection for patients as established by standard guidelinesRecords and modifies patient meal orders based on physician diet orders and Intermountain Modified Diet GuidelineWorks with the clinical team to provide excellent patient careUses technology and meal ordering platform to facilitate the nutrition care process and needed departmental reportsCommunicates patient needs to room service assembly areaCollects and inputs nutrition screening informationPerforms functions of room service call center and Bedside ConnectProvides exceptional customer service in all customer and patient interactionsMay complete calorie count and nutrition analysis as dictated by facilityMay check and verify that patients receive appropriate meal selections on the room service lineMay deliver patient trays according to department policy to provide safe and efficient meal serviceOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsFood handler's permit (as required by facility.
Remote workers may be exempt from this requirement).Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated basic computer skills and keyboarding proficiency.Demonstrated math skills.Demonstrated ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately.Preferred QualificationsFood service or healthcare experience.Coursework in NutritionPhysical Requirements:
