Senior System Engineer

Title: Sr System Engineer
Salary: up to around $140k base salary plus benefits , bonus , etc (Based on Experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensure the highest level of security across all network, hardware, and systems
Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency
Monitoring and managing of all installed systems and infrastructure to provide maximum uptime to our customers
Provide monitoring and analysis to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Evaluate systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements
Root cause analysis of performance problems and system failures
Provide time estimates and work with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently
Research and develop proof of concepts to deliver evaluations and recommendations on new technologies and techniques to improve the company
Provide technical support and assist in issue triage, impact analysis, resolution planning and implementation
Participate in regular status meetings and project health meetings
Lead team training/knowledge sharing sessions
Provide expertise in IT industry best practices, technologies, and emerging technologies
Mentoring of less experienced team members
Act as technical lead to work with product owners to prioritize and scope upcoming project backlog
The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen and extensive reading. The individual in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time.
Education/Certification :
Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
Certifications preferred

Technology/Software Knowledge:
Experience with:
VMWare ESXi/vCenter Experience
Configuring / troubleshooting network switches, and firewalls, including interfaces and VLANs
Storage arrays, preferably Pure Storage or another iSCSI array
Configuration/administration of
Windows Server
Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and Teams
Nice to have:
Managed File Transfer such as GoAnywhere, JScape, or MoveIt
