The Senior Manager, Professional Services is responsible for leading, managing and directing project support activities for Omnicell. This role will be the expert in Omnicell methodology design and use of tools and standards and will have overall responsibility to ensure 100% quality on all Omnicell customer implementation projects. He/she must possess the ability to lead and motivate people and encourage teamwork, an ability to communicate effectively with senior management and a clear vision of what determines a successful standard for health system product solution implementations for the customer and for the company. In addition, they must also be able to utilize project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists and project scheduling software and ensure project implementation standards across the country. He/she must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making. Responsibilities



  • Manage a large organization (80+ staff) in a fast paced, growing company.

  • Focus on future strategy as it relates to professional services, customer experience, revenue goals, personnel and organizational changes.

  • Managing alignment of the company to customers.

  • Ensure compliance in project management processes, onsite standards, deliverables and communications necessary to ensure consistent project execution.

  • Assist with driving cultural change around project leadership by demonstrating the value of best practices for solution implementation
  • Enhance to project coordination and leadership best practices: tailor and implement tools, templates and techniques.

  • Ensure development of all professional services team members, including appropriate certifications and training as part of a comprehensive development plan.

  • Regularly track progress on all projects and provide updates to executives as requested.

  • Analyze actual performance against the project plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction through driving project execution excellence, reviewing of customer satisfaction surveys and participation in customer meetings.

  • Partner with workforce management to resolving project and solution resource conflicts in cooperation with appropriate managers.

  • Contributes to the corporate strategy to ensure the team’s processes, tools and people are aligned to ensure customer project needs and company financial goals are met.

  • Contributes to the project overviews, audits and monitors project schedules within the our professional services automation (PSA) system. Keeps management advised on project progress, potential issues, obstacles, conflicts and challenges.

  • Leadership, demonstrating character, clarity, courage and commitment to high performance.

  • Forging and maintaining strong relationships inter-departmentally.

  • Serve as escalation point.

  • Ability to fill in for Director when needed.

  • Commonly called upon to participate in strategic initiatives.


Required Knowledge and Skills



  • Financial understanding of budgets, P&L and revenue goals.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written and inter personal and relationship building.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines.

  • Depth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of functional departments; using this knowledge in order to bring their resources to bear in the resolution of account issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply tact and diplomacy when addressing all levels of staff. Must possess a high degree of business acumen when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.


Basic Qualifications



  • Minimum ten years’ previous experience in management of device, software or clinical systems with healthcare focused company.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • MBA and/or Master’s Degree.

Work Conditions



  • Field/remote based role.
  • 50% Travel.

  • Management of a remote team.
  • Work across multiple time zones.

  • Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time using video based technologies.
