The role of the Manager, Field Marketing is to lead the field go-to-market and pipeline generation efforts for Ansys throughout a specific, major sales region. The successful candidate will be a seasoned marketer with a growth mindset who can effectively collaborate with sales and manage expectations to drive results. This role is responsible for aligning with direct sales leadership , developing strategies and plans to meet pipeline goals, leading the regional field marketing teams, and working closely with the global marketing leadership to align go-to-market plans with key objectives, messages, and campaigns.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with the global marketing team, product marketing and sales management to build a strong marketing plan within the specific region and GTM segments, in order to support the planned business growth
  • Create a highly impactful viral marketing organization driven by in person or virtual events, social and other digital marketing tactics for Ansys simulation products
  • Drive marketing automation expertise across the region, with emphasis on lead nurturing, lead scoring, lead database management and sales enablement
  • Drive closed loop sales and marketing process by managing regional lead operations to ensure quality lead flow, optimize lead follow-up and data quality for reporting
  • Provide senior sales and marketing management with analysis for marketing investments, pipeline impact and goal setting
  • Drive Ansys brand and PR initiatives across the region, in collaboration with the corporate Marketing Communications team and Field Marketing Managers
  • Lead a team of high-performing individual contributors, including Field Marketing Managers and Specialists to consistently deliver on key priorities
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or closely related field
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing/demand generation or field role - with at least 5 years of field marketing experience in B2B or B2C technology markets as well as at least 3 years in a people manager role
  • Extensive experience with marketing automation systems to successfully drive demand generation programs
  • Results-driven with very strong ability to analyze quantitative data to determine program effectiveness, ROI, forecasting
  • Must have budget management experience and financial analysis skills
  • Demonstrated results in improving sales pipeline/funnel and conversion ratios
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to travel at least 25%
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proactive, self-starter with drive to build first class operations function
  • Strong manager and leader who is able to operate autonomously yet still be highly collaborative and resourceful
  • Inherently driven to deliver results with a sense of urgency to achieve
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution
  • Superb interpersonal skills to represent the ANSYS brand, quickly forge strong relationships with partners & stakeholders- internal & external
  • Direct experience and understanding of working with business intelligence tools and other data cleansing and reporting tools
  • Strong reporting and analysis skills with ingenuity to provide scalable reporting. Experience with BI tools highly desirable
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner while remaining focused on key priorities
  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across organization: regional and global marketing teams, sales, sales operations, IT
  • Ability to earn trust through performance and relationship-building
  • Prior experience working in a technical business setting with engineers or in engineering simulation is a plus
