Position Summary: Seeks new business opportunities and develops relationships with potential customers.

  • Responsible for the development of new business and expansion of existing business through commercial deposit growth.

  • Regularly attends Industry functions and volunteers time and efforts to support various regional and national associations as it relates to their Industry.

  • Responsible for providing professional sales and customer service support for Banc products and services.

  • Assists new and potential customers with inquiries, researches and resolves problems, and provides support to the department and its members in performing other duties and functions.

  • Plans and implements sales and service strategies, particularly as it relates to products and services. Converts strategies into tactical actions, particularly within the assigned market area.

  • Coordinates and schedules presentations and demonstrations to existing and new customer contacts for Banc products and services.

  • Develops and maintains ongoing communication with existing customers to advise on policy and procedures and responds to customer inquiries.

  • Assists customers by researching and resolving problems and by facilitating department communications with customers.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Banc policies, procedures, and services.

  • Under limited supervision, Business Development Representative/Officer is responsible for developing new deposit business for the Banc.

  • The position provides a superior level of customer relations and service and ensures compliance with Banc policies and procedures, and is responsible for attaining established individual, department and Banc goals.

  • Participate and implement business development programs for Banc products using various techniques including calls to existing customers to maintain and expand banking relationships, and calls to prospective clients to develop new business.

  • Provide superior customer service by answering inquires and directing customers to the proper department(s) for further Banc services.

  • Effectively interviews and profiles customers in order to recommend appropriate banking products and services.

  • Proactively call on existing and potential clients. Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to maximize sales opportunities and achieve sales standards.

  • Liaison between the new accounts/operations functions and client for Banc transition.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.


Mathematical Ability:

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
