As the Director of Supply Chain Services, you will lead business development efforts for strategic supply chain service opportunities with electric utility customers. Serve as the subject matter expert for customer facing solutions such as integrated supply programs, materials management solutions, vendor managed inventory, procurement outsourcing, logistics optimization, and the WESCO|Anixter supply chain technologies.
Partner with region leadership to incorporate supply chain services opportunities into the annual sales plan. Lead supply chain services sales activities in support of the regional sales plan to achieve increased profitability and revenue growth. _*Ideal candidate will reside in the western US region_.
RESPONSIBILITIES:* + Develop and execute plans to grow the supply chain services based business in the assigned region. + Lead supply chain services sales activities in conjunction with Region Leadership. Develop strategy to incorporate supply chain solutions into annual sales plans and strategic initiatives.
+ Establishes and delivers annual goals, priorities and performance metrics. + Builds and manages an opportunity pipeline. + Promotes supply chain solutions to existing customers to increase sales, profitability, and customer service.
+ Develops and coordinates supply chain solution training for region sales and operations teams to develop broader base of supply chain knowledge. + Leads and directs teams, utilizing in-depth knowledge of key accounts, industry best practices, and supply chain strategies and technology. + Leverage WESCO|Anixter's supply chain, lean, and technology capabilities to build new services and offerings to support business objectives.
+ Assesses customer needs and recommends solutions. + Advise customers on ways to improve their supply chain and operations strategy and work with them to implement next generation solutions. + Manages large projects or processes, delegates, coaches, and communicates of needs of the business EXPERIENCE:* + 7 years required, 10 years preferred of management consulting and/or solution selling, preferably in industrial distribution.
+ 7 years required, 10 years preferred of leading supply chain transformational change. + 7 years required, 10 years preferred of leading cross functional complex projects and effective continuous improvement. + 10 years required, 15 years preferred of leading and implementing optimization projects in supply chain QUALIFICATIONS:* + Maters Degree - Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Engineering.
+ In-depth knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and efficiency drivers. + Well-developed quantitative and analytical skills. + Ability to build cross functional relationships and consensus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to convincingly persuade others. + Ability to simplify complex processes and results and present ideas in a clear and concise manner TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:* + 25-50% \_We are an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
