General Job Description

As the Dell Synergy Global Sales Enablement Lead, you ll empower Sales communities at Dell Technologies, VMware s largest and most strategic partner. You ll work with leadership and management aligned to Dell Sales divisions to enable continued VMware bookings growth through and with Dell, with a focus on a shared portfolio of joint solutions. You ll work closely with the Dell and VMware teams to prioritize the development of sound Enablement strategies that appropriately address VMware s product portfolio and messaging. You will ensure Enablement programs are cross-functionally developed and delivered into the Dell with prioritization on regions with opportunity for growth. You will also serve as a conduit between VMware s WWRACE Global Enablement organization and the Dell Synergy team, ensuring that Dell is able to access the latest partner enablement materials and programs.

Excellent teamwork is nonnegotiable for this role, with a meticulous view towards driving programs and outcomes defined jointly with Dell.

As part of the Dell Synergy Acceleration Enablement Team you will:

  • Partner with key stakeholders at Dell and VMware to develop and deliver Enablement and Activation strategy and programs to drive VMware revenue through Dell.
  • Serve as a connection point between VMware s WWRACE organization, VMware Enablement resources embedded at Dell, and the DSAT Synergy Success organization
  • Align with Global Synergy Channel Enablement lead to support the Dell channel partner Enablement initiatives
  • Facilitate the consumption of VMware Global enablement activations (ex: Worldwide Sales Kick Off, Empower) by DSAT and Dell teams and representation of VMware in strategic Dell enablement activations (ex: Field Readiness Seminar, Dell Tech Summit)
  • Support VMware Enablement & DSAT quarterly planning process to prioritize, plan and budget enablement activities and ensure alignment with Dell Global Sales Learning & Enablement.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring team members
  • This role with be based in North America. Post-Pandemic, DSAT team members will need the ability to travel (approx. 10-20%) and do business globally. Global team members must have availability for meetings across all time zones when required
  • Success factors:

    • Within the first 60 days, develop a firm understanding of gaps in the Global Enablement plans through assessing current program offerings, gaining an understanding of joint solutions and other strategic priorities, building relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Within the first 90 days, leverage that understanding to recommend and develop and deliver ongoing Global Enablement plans, aligned to VMware and Dell joint priorities and innovative enablement strategies and consumable by the VMware and Dell-embedded GEO enablement team members. Build an outcome-based scorecard to measure development, deployment, and management for deployed programs.
    • Within 180 days, acquire sufficient understanding of the strategy, the GEOs and the overall Enablement plans to serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and recommend enablement-based solutions to solve business challenges.

    Leadership:

    This role reports to the Sr Director in the Partner COE in WWRACE and will matrix into Head of Global Sales and Go-to-Market Leader as a member of the Dell Synergy Acceleration Team.

    The core DSAT Enablement team is comprised GEO Enablement leads in North America and EMEA, and one Channel Enablement lead. The larger DSAT Sales Acceleration team includes Enablement, Sales Activation and Go-to-Market. We are a highly collaborative, matrixed team that works together to build programs with the best possible outcomes for the VMware business through the Dell route to market.

    The person in this role also benefits from membership in the WWRACE organization, and can connect with and work with Sales enablement professionals across VMware s business.
