Position Summary:


Irvine Company's Human Resources Department is looking for a talented project management professional to join our team. We are considering candidates at all levels from Specialist to Senior Manager.



As a member of the Human Resources Project Management team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of diverse Human Resources and business-related projects.


Job Duties:


  • Create project plans, charters, and timelines to manage projects of varying length, complexity and scope (ranging from small-scale to yearly large-scale)

  • Develop project organization chart and governance structure

  • Assist with clarifying roles and responsibilities of team members

  • Create performance and status reports for relevant stakeholders, create and/or edit project communication assets, and coordinate with internal communications teams to broadcast targeted messaging of projects and initiatives

  • Act as liaison between Human Resources stakeholders and contributors, and on occasion, with business leaders

  • Assist with maintaining team member and project stakeholder communications and expectations

  • Identify and develop strategy for changes in scope, schedule, and cost

  • Balance needs of multiple stakeholders and assist with gaining buy-in from groups who may be resistant to change

  • Assist with managing stakeholder needs and help to facilitate negotiation of tradeoffs between scope, schedule, and participation

  • Create transition plans, identify lessons learned, and apply the lessons learned to future projects

  • Develop plans/procedures for mitigating and managing project risks/threats

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:


  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience

  • 2+ years experience working in project management, experience managing multiple projects or programs simultaneously preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies

  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across HR and the organization

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Effective team player and networker

  • Ability to conduct in-depth data analyses, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities, and develop recommendations for cross-functional groups of stakeholders

  • Ability to work across cross-functional team to drive results

  • Client-centric mindset

  • Knowledge of HR policies/processes and talent management practices a plus

  • Effective time management skills

  • PMP Certification preferred
