Job Summary


One of the main responsibilities of this position is to lead the necessary on-going activities required to support existing products and manufacturing operations. These activities include but are not limited to: leading compliance activities for quality system elements, design control, document control, receiving acceptance, nonconforming products, CAPA, labeling, and records. This person will also be expected to lead sustaining quality engineering activities, recommend and implement improvement actions and support and implement quality concepts that drive future growth.


Core Responsibilities


  • Analyzing post market metrics to identify continuous improvements projects, implementing proactive quality activities into the manufacturing plants.
  • Providing support for Risk Management executions throughout the organization to drive consistent Risk Assessments
  • Providing support for trending, analyzing, and executing the Complaint Handling process to identify opportunities to drive process, product, label and/or component improvements
  • Providing compliance expertise and product knowledge to the cross-functional teams for understanding and investigating product complaints for resolution.
  • Partnering with vendors to facilitate supplier quality and maintaining a risk based approach to management of suppliers


Qualifying Experience


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or related field is required
  • Five years or more experience with Quality, R&D or related field in a medical device environment
  • Experience with medical devices.
  • Extensive root cause analysis and investigation experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
