The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team supporting the Premier Agent business is on the front line of Zillow Group’s planning and strategic initiatives, so you will work on some of the company’s high visibility projects.


This team works closely with the business and runs the monthly forecasting, annual operating planning, strategic planning, and financial modeling for new business opportunities and growth initiatives.

About the role


We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team supporting our core Premier Agent business. This role requires an analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive candidate with outstanding eye for business and intense curiosity to learn about different areas of the business.


You must be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. If you are not afraid of working with large amounts of data, you’ll get the chance to make it all come together into meaningful metrics used to make strategic business decisions.



  • Partner closely with our business leaders, executive team members, and product management to ensure we are making the right decisions today for balanced, thoughtful, and efficient long-term growth

  • Develop scalable financial models or reports that align and simplify monthly business reviews, forecasting, and annual planning processes.

  • Be responsible for the headcount planning and management for PA within our Anaplan planning tool and provide monthly reporting on hiring against plan for senior management review.

  • Drive efficiency across sales and acquisition channels, while optimizing for headcount and growth.

  • Own monthly forecasting and analysis of people costs, variable compensation, and sales / sales support expenses.

  • Ensure alignment across FP&A and business partners on key processes, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Build and provide important weekly / monthly and ad-hoc reporting or analysis to share fact-based insights on variances and trends.



This role has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company.


Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.


In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $80,900.00 - $129,200.00 Annually.


This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.


In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.


Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.


Who you are



  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field

  • 3-5 years of work experience in FP&A, preferably in the internet or media industry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills required, including experience building complex financial models

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Database and SQL querying experience strongly desired

  • Additional desired software experience includes Workday, Anaplan, Tableau or Mode Analytics

  • Public company experiences desirable
