The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will work closely with Red River Sales, Partner SIEM vendors, and Red River Managed Services to implement security systems (hardware, software, tools, etc.) for Red River's growing customer base. The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will have experience deploying and maintaining cybersecurity solutions tailored for unique environments including cloud, local, and wide-area infrastructure and/or networks systems which feature a wide variety of platforms and protocols. This position has a high potential for growth as we continue to build our cybersecurity practice at Red River Technology.


Responsibilities/Functions:




  • Experience with desktop operating systems




  • Experience with Office365 Administration




  • Virtualization Administration and Architecture Knowledge




  • Domain Functionality experience with Active Directory functionalities like Group Policy




  • Experience and knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems




  • Knowledge of System Management Solutions like Microsoft Intune, Dell Kace and Kasaya (CMS)




  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and implementation of Site-to-Site VPN on Cisco, Palo Alto and FortiGate Platforms




  • Understanding of core network components and configuration (Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HP, and Juniper)




  • Understanding of Firewall and Security Practices/Configuration




  • Maintaining standards and documentation on an ongoing basis as products and technologies evolve




  • General Experience and Knowledge of Cloud Native Platforms (AWS, Azure and GCP)




  • Occasionally adapts procedures to resolve unusual cases




Qualifications/Experience:




  • High school diploma and/or technical trade 6 months to 1 year




  • Minimum 2 years of IT experience with IT administration




  • Previous Experience in a fast-paced consulting or MSP environment as plus




  • Strong prioritization, problem solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills




  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with confidence in front of Clients




  • Self-starter, organized and detail oriented




  • Experience supporting and administering Microsoft SCCM/Intune and Kasaya




  • Analytical and technical troubleshooting skills




  • Experience with excel, MS Word, network diagrams, etc.




Desired Experience:



  • Azure / AWS Exposure/Working Knowledge
