Description

Supports on-going manufacturing processes under general supervision in order to attain smooth operating and manufacturing assembly capabilities.



Defines and solves all major manufacturing and assembly problems and takes corrective actions as necessary. Identifies imperfections in manufacturing processes, including design and process engineering, material, machinery and equipment, and personnel. Communicates with broad range of departments to incorporate corrective action. Establishes new procedures and techniques as appropriate.



Maintains on-going accuracy of manufacturing process documentation with regard to product engineering specifications and manufacturing capabilities.



Estimates cost of new process techniques and designs in support of cost reduction programs. Coordinates implementation of these plans with all departments.



Prepares, implements and supervises layout, tooling, product flow and related engineering functions necessary to bring new product line from blueprint stage to production.



Responsible for development of capital equipment justifications. Assist supervisor with compilation of status reports on each model within appropriate technical area.



Insure capability of process design improvements generated by Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Design Engineering with on-going assembly procedures.



 

Qualifications


BS Degree Engineering or Equivalent Experience



EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:



Five to ten years’ experience in Manufacturing process development such as Identify, develop and implementation of Production process methods and improvements.



Must be computer literate and proficient Microsoft office, Excel , Power point and ACAD . Must have knowledge of CNC programming, equipment and tooling applications. Experience in application of process control, i.e. SPC.



Must have knowledge CAD/CAM Software (SurfCAM, EdgeCAM, MasterCAM-Pro E, Solidwork-ACAD).



Maximize efficiency by analyzing lay out of equipment, work flow, assembly equipment and work force utilization.



Must be able to prepare and present technical information, Proficient on blue print reading and GD&T.



Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.



Excellent interpersonal communications and listening skills, up and down and cross-functional communication.



Ability to read and interpret specifications and engineering drawings.



Highly skilled in tool/fixture design.
