Senior Multiline Risk Control Specialist (100% Remote)

Position Overview:
This position is responsible to ensure that all insurance lines and exposures are accurately accessed and communicated to all MSMM customers using appropriate codes, standards and corporate policies as guidelines. As a Risk Engineering Consultant representing MSMM, your primary role and responsibility will be to protect the future and ensure profitability for MSMM, its business partners, agents and policyholders through the delivery of timely and innovative leading safety and risk management solutions. In addition, promotes markets and otherwise advances MSMM through relationships with all internal and external customers. The position is 100% remote working from home base and traveling to service customers in the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides bundled and minimal unbundled Risk Engineering services to the large and more
- multinational accounts. Execute consultative risk engineering service visits at the policyholders' and prospective policyholders' premises and develop loss prevention recommendations and service plans based on observations from the visit. In turn, provide a detailed technical report of findings and communicate these findings with both the internal Underwriting customer and the external MSMM policyholder and agent.
- Performs periodic training sessions as needed and directed for the policy holders in loss prevention techniques. Provides constructive feedback and training needed to correct skill deficiencies. Accompanies and communicates to Risk Engineering staff to reinforce new knowledge and skills. Provides technical consultation to Risk Engineering staff when special analysis and assessments are needed based on expertise.
- Under the guidance of the Director of Risk Engineering, assists in the development publication of department policies and procedural bulletins. Recognizes technical advancements and communicates to the Risk Engineering staff and customers effectively. Acts as a resource to Risk Engineering staff and customers regarding specialized-oriented issues. Markets Risk Engineering services to prospective and unbundled customers.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree( BA/BS) from an accredited university is required. Strongly preferred in the areas of focus, Occupational Safety and Health Studies, Safety/Industrial Engineering, Fire Sciences, Pure Sciences or related subjects.
- Minimum of 5 years of insurance and general industry loss control experience is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge in advanced insurance coverages and exposures is required.
- CSP, CFPS, CIE, CIH, CPE, CPCU, ARM, etc. certification is preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and Factory Manual is preferred.
- Must possess strong consultative skills to handle Survey/Service work assignments for all lines of business and demonstrate the ability to complete loss analysis trending, accident investigations and loss cost-benefit analysis.
- Must have the ability to complete a detailed Service Plan directed at identifying loss trends at multiple locations to mitigate or eliminate further losses and potential losses. Negotiation skills to policyholder agreement and cooperation.
