We develop and refine the tools that are essential for helping our clients grow, maintain and make their money work smarter so they can reach their financial goals, while adding minimal complexity to their already busy lives. To do our job well, we utilize user-centered techniques to help us break through the industry jargon and bureaucracy and find insights that others can't. We elevate UX not just to solve users' problems but also to use design to steer the product's evolution into a powerful and extensible framework.



About the Opportunity



As a Senior Content Designer, you will leverage your deep understanding of content strategy and storytelling in support of a high-priority digital wealth management product designed to support advisors and their clients. You'll be at the forefront of our efforts and be directly responsible for decisions that form our product experiences. This is a hands-on UX writer role. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that includes researchers, product designers, content designers, product managers, engineers, and business partners who share your passion for delivering unique and innovative financial digital products and services of all kinds, including trading and advice platforms. This role is based in New York.



About You:




  • You have 3+ years of experience delivering results in drafting UX/digital content and/or content strategy



  • You have 5+ years of experience writing and editing customer-facing content for the digital space



  • You're passionate about user experience design thinking and UX best practices



  • You're a storyteller with experience adhering to documented standards for copy who knows how to create clear, concise and engaging content



  • You're a problem solver, proactive and solutions-oriented, with a knack for simplifying the complex



  • You're excited by new challenges and energized by working in a collaborative, team-based environment



  • You're interested in learning more about the world of wealth management



  • You're attentive to detail and comfortable working in a dynamic, highly-regulated environment



  • You have a high comfort level working in PPT and Excel - Figma, JIRA and Confluence a plus



  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams, interacting with designers, researchers, usability specialists, product managers, legal and compliance experts and line-of-business owners



  • You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or other communications-related field





Responsibilities:




  • Work with cross-functional partners to understand and align on project objectives, goals and requirements



  • Leverage user insights and data to inform and optimize content



  • Partner with designers to develop wireframes and iterative prototypes



  • Write, shape and deliver digital content (UI, product education, navigation, etc.)



  • Collaborate with content strategists to drive consistency across products and channels, leveraging voice, tone and brand standards



  • Adhere to content governance and approvals process for assigned programs





Qualifications:




  • Experience in shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects



  • A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines



  • Thorough knowledge of English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage



  • Experience working with brand and copy standards, including style, voice and tone



  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in UX writing, UX design or other user-focused experiences



  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
