Position Title: Manager, Professional Engagement

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: Marketing

Employment Type: Full Time


Position Summary


Position requires highly-motivated, process and detail oriented individual to manage the successful planning and execution of multiple Professional Education events, including local dinner programs and regional and national conferences and symposia. This opportunity is a critical component in the successful execution of strategically targeted events that will increase thought leadership and expand brand knowledge and awareness among health care professionals and key opinion leaders within the respective medical industries BioTissue services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to simultaneously coordinate, manage and execute the administration and logistics of numerous meetings and events while providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Simultaneously manage & execute multiple events and conferences of varying sizes at any one time under the supervision of the Sr Director, Digital Marketing and Communications.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Professional Education teams on key KOL activities/events.
  • Work with internal team to translate goals from marketing plans into event strategies and plans.
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure event performance can be assessed based on KPIs and conduct post-event tracking and ROI analysis to help measure the initiatives and to improve future performance.
  • Research applicable events and event locations, negotiate costs, coordinate and manage logistics, adhere to budget and work with respective vendors to successfully execute each event.
  • Manage and track the event budget to ensure it is performing to plan.
  • Promote the company s professional education initiatives and thought leadership positioning with a strong focus on delivering against KPIs.
  • Engage and promote event awareness and registration to ensure proper pre-show outreach and post-show follow up occurs with audiences as well as key stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing and KOLs.
  • Track and maintain overall timeline for events and conferences, ensuring all deadlines are met and all stakeholders are properly informed of activity.
  • Handle on-site implementation of events as applicable.
  • Work closely with Professional Education and Marketing to ensure content and messaging align.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company's KOLs, brand, products and high-level strategy to ensure execution of events align to company goals and objectives.
  • Stay abreast of current event planning tools and trends; bringing best practices to planning and execution of events to BioTissue.


Position Expertise/Qualifications


Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Preferred/Required


Bachelors Marketing or Communications Required


Certification & Licensures Required/Preferred


Event Management Required

Meeting Planner


Minimum Years of Exp. Type of Experience Required/Preferred


7 years Meeting and Event Management, particularly in B2B Required

  • Maintain relationships with members of the meeting planning industry, including hotels, restaurant groups, travel agents, and other key members.
  • Resourceful, self-starter that works best in a team environment.
  • Ability to work successfully and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, cooperative work environment.

  • Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM software applications.
  • Positive outlook with a roll-up-the-sleeves/ hands-on approach
  • Knowledge in Adobe InDesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to work equally efficient with other team members as part of an interdisciplinary team and independently (with minimal supervision)
