Heres the overall gist:

We are looking for a highly goal driven, gregarious, relational, tenacious, and organized individual to serve in the newly created position of Director of Volunteer Recruitment.

Yes, we want it all!

Our new Director will work closely with the entire KSBBBS South Central Kansas team to develop and implement innovative strategies to recruit new volunteers to meet quarterly and annual goals.


Heres the detailed gist:

  • Create and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy to a virtually limitless pool of adult candidates throughout South Central Kansas.

    Our volunteers are incredible humans who come from all walks of life and represent all ages, ethnicities, vocations, and social status.

    (Strategy and plans will be expected to include budgetary needs and expected ROI.)
  • Effectively engage current and past volunteers (Bigs) for their ideas and support in recruiting new Bigs
  • Cultivate long-term sustainable relationships with businesses, organizations, civic groups and other community partners through effective communications
  • Serve as an excellent spokesperson and representative of KSBBBS in presentations of all sizes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospecting records in database system
  • Track and evaluate results of recruitment and outreach efforts; provide monthly and quarterly progress reports
  • Maintain ongoing communication with South Central KSBBBS program team to gain inspiring insight and stories as well as program trends and changes
  • Provide oversight of the volunteer intake process from inquiry to formal application
  • Represent KSBBBS at various meetings, conferences, events and other functions as necessary to fulfill the goals of the program.

Support other fundraising and program events as needed.

What youll need to make the cut:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Proven track record of successful volunteer recruiting and/or sales experience
  • Excellent public speaking and relational skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must provide valid auto insurance with employee name listed as vehicle operator
