This position manages individuals that develop business solutions by creating new and modifying existing automations making the business operate more efficiently and cost effectively.  Provides technical advice and guidance for other members of the team.  Generates work for team by establishing relationships with various business areas and builds pipeline.  Prioritizes work for team based on business value and skill set available of staff.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Manage team of full stack developers; Set goals for team and work with them to meet; Motivate team to increase productivity

  • Create a continuous growth environment for team that fosters innovation and new ideas

  • Identify and pursue learning opportunities for the team

  • Generate work for team by establishing relationships with various business areas

  • Assess ideas generated by business and vet out as appropriate

  • Provide data and statistics on work developed by team to management

  • Communicate to upper management on automations and any applicable roadblocks

  • Prioritize work for developers based on business value and skill set available of staff

  • Analyze, comprehend, and investigate process flows of high complexity automations

  • Investigate and solve high complex requests and problems independently

  • Participate/lead in team projects such as system upgrades, documentation updates, and high complexity conversion automations

  • Gather and update business requirements and required materials for automation assessment

  • Generate reports as needed for customers

  • Handle multiple projects or issues simultaneously

  • Act as a resource for others with less experience by coaching and providing feedback

  • Work directly with clients, peers, and other development teams in a complex matrixed environment

  • Lead and drive design of new architecture to meet current and future needs

  • Measure and improve team velocity through continuous improvements to process and/or technology

  • Work within specified time requirements

  • Adhere to the development standards, repository management, release management, time tracking, and other polices and guidelines

  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality under requirements of federal and state law, including HIPPA

Required Qualifications:




  • .NET Coding Experience

  • SQL / Azure SQL Coding Experience

  • Snowflake Experience

  • VB/VBS/VBA Coding Experience

  • UI Experience

  • Open Span Experience

  • Health Care Industry Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate Degree or High School Diploma/GED 

  • 5+ years Coding Experience in a coding language(s)

  • Experience in full Software Development Life Cycle which includes exposure to testing and gathering requirements 

  • Experience analyzing and solving business process problems for a process driven environment 

  • Intermediate Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Visio and Excel

  • Visual Studio Experience

  • Database Experience

  • Experience in Agile Methodology

  • Thought leader - investigate, learn, and suggest new technological advancements that would benefit the team

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
