Director, Accounting - Remote

As the Director, Accounting, within the Fender Finance organization, you will oversee the Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Credit and Collections functions. You will play a key role in implementing continuous improvements within those areas. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in general accounting and US GAAP, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and experience with project management. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to lead, motivate and recognize a team of managers. The Director, Accounting will report to the VP, Controller and have three direct reports.
About The Job:

• Lead initiatives to streamline processes within the Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Credit and Collections functions
• Work cross functionally with other departments in order to become a trusted business partner
• Review payroll related month-end journal entries and reconciliations
• Lead team of managers including daily coaching, goal setting, performance reviews, providing verbal and written feedback
• Lead functional software implementations
• Assist in external audit
• Assist with technical accounting research and memos to ensure compliance with GAAP

What You Need:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (at least 4 years managing people)
• Public accounting experience required
• CPA designation required
• Bachelors or master's degree in finance or accounting
• Experience leading large scale projects
• Self-motivated with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong writing skills and experience with memos and workpaper documentation
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Working experience using a large ERP system, SAP preferred
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
