About the role

The Systems Engineer is responsible for working with clients daily in a consulting and technical role. The successful candidate will take pride in making a difference in our customers’ businesses. One of the primary responsibilities is to maintain a high utilization with the ability to transition quickly between tasks. The successful candidate will encounter multiple different IT environments and will need to be able to adapt rapidly to meet the needs of the client. Candidate should be able to maintain, monitor, deploy, document, and support each IT environment where multiple workstations and servers may exist. The candidate will encounter issues related to hardware, software, and networking.

Responsibilities

· Ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of all IT systems.

· Provide technical guidance to other IT staff members on their assigned tasks.

· Perform system architecture design and planning, including capacity planning and performance tuning.

· Work with internal and external clients to identify needs and requirements.

  • Bring forward suggestions for improvement of systems, network and applications strategy, and execution.
  • Assists in enterprise information security standards. May create reports, audits and aid in information security standards and procedures. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.
  • Proactively ensures the highest levels of systems and nfrastructure availability
  • Manages the implementation of various technologies for infrastructure projects to ensure all tasks are completed, deadlines met, the risk is minimized, and business can continue with minimal interruptions.
  • Perform additional related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position, as directed by the CTO.
  • Serving in a variety of ad hoc roles, including participating in and contributing to proposal efforts.

Candidate requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Legacy Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications is a plus
  • 5+ years of windows system administration
  • Demonstrated experience in IT projects and implementations with a focus on security, data protection, and network operations
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Experience with Active Directory Administration
  • Strong understanding of network administration concepts and network security
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal/team skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization with the appropriate level of technical detail
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration a plus
  • Experience with phone systems a strong plus (Momentum, NEC)
  • Experience with Private and Public Cloud technologies/administration is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration a plus
  • Experience with Powershell CLI is a strong plus
  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate is a strong plus
  • Experience with router and switch configuration, operation, and maintenance, routing protocols, TCP/IP, network management, network analysis, and network security

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,536.00 - $90,723.00 per year
