In this vital role you will lead the development and execution of the rocatinlimab (anti-OX40) global medical affairs strategy, including the evidence generation platform, medical communications, and external engagements throughout the commercialization process. Serve as the Global Medical Affairs Lead (GMAL) on various global strategic teams, including: Product Team, Evidence Generation Team, Global Medical Affairs Team and other related teams. Develop and lead a robust RWE strategic plan addressing key regional/local needs, assuring successful launches in commercial markets and supporting evolving markets dynamics. Gather clinical/scientific insights across all key markets and translate them into concrete strategies. Facilitate scientific engagements across a broad range of partners, including but not limited to advisory board meetings and international scientific venues. This, strengthens external understanding of the unmet needs associated with rocatinlimab. Align and implement strategy for medical communications and related activities, e.g., product narrative, scientific platform, core content, publications, medical education, and congresses. Develop medical strategic plans and ensure consistent execution of outputs through Medical Affairs Teams. Contribute to Amgen's Safety and Benefit/Risk profile of a molecule and ensure communication of the implications to external partners, support Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS), and approve grants, if applicable. Provide strategic direction for study design and execution for medical affairs and other global studies. Enable access to medicines through clear understanding and education of treatment value in partnership with cross-functional partners. Facilitate and continue to build Amgen s role as a science-based, patient-focused partner. Contribute to Value Dossiers. Determine resource and budget allocation necessary to deliver on medical strategies. Basic Qualifications: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school or Ph.D./PharmD 2 years of clinical research experience and/or basic science research in n Dermatology or related medical field Preferred Qualifications: MD plus accredited fellowship in Dermatology or related medical field, board-certified or board eligible PhD or PharmD will be considered based on individuals profile 10 years of Medical Affairs experience in industry (biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO) Clinical and disease knowledge base in Inflammatory diseases Experience with partner engagement and interactions (e.g., OLs, advocacy groups, payers) Familiarity with global regulatory organizations, guidelines, and practices Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and global regulations and guidelines Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle, and commercialization processes, including but not limited to, clinical operations, commercial, regulatory, and medical affairs History of solving problems while exhibiting sound scientific/medical judgment and a balanced, realistic understanding of issues In-depth understanding of scientific method and clinical applications based on medical, scientific, and practical rationale Track record of success working with matrixed cross-functional teams Thrive What you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being. The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $258,865. - $307,185.
