The Payments Compliance Analyst\'s primary responsibility will be assisting various business lines to ensure Bank policies and procedures are compliant with all federal and state regulations, laws and acts . This involves review of all consumer compliance payments laws and regulations for determination and interpretation of application, assessing line of business workflow, controls and processes as it relates to adhering to consumer and commercial compliance requirements, recommending changes as needed and providing compliance guidance for new business development initiatives. Along with the key functions listed below, this position will be expected to uphold the value that Wafd Bank places on simply being nice when servicing our co-workers and clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Serves as the payments compliance subject matter expert for business lines within the Bank. Staying current on all payments (ACH, wires, cards, checks and real time payments) compliance requirements and upcoming changes assessing the impact on the Bank and assisting in implementation. Reviews customer facing documents, including forms, disclosures, and correspondence, to ensure compliance with federal and/or state regulations. Reviews and assists in the development of Bank policies and procedures. Compiles information and drafts reports and memorandums summarizing findings from quality control reviews, validations, and audits. Responds to compliance inquiries from business lines. Reviews new payments products and services operations and processes for regulatory payments compliance in conjunction with various business lines and product groups. Work with the business lines to develop effective payments compliance training, including appropriate introductory and ongoing, maintenance education. Work with the Consumer Compliance Department to report issues identified in normal course of business. Identify possible solutions and track resolution for correction. Work with Consumer Compliance to provide reporting to Management Compliance Committee as well as providing information on Key Risk Indicators. Other duties may be assigned. Location: This position is eligible to work remotely in any of our 8 states footprint - Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington. Requirements: Preferred Bachelor\'s degree from a four-year college or university Previous Work Experience in Banking and/or Regulatory Compliance or Audit Work Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Experience working with consumer financial regulations, preferably in a compliance or audit role. Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, bank operational policies and procedures, and bank products and services. Excellent decision making, problem solution-driven skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication abilities. Strong leadership and team building skills.
