SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Our district is in need of a talented SLPA for the second semester of the school year! Are you a licensed SLPA in the Vista area? Do you have a talent for working with elementary populations? Are you passionate about making a profound impact on your community? This is the job for you! This position is full time, covering full-time hours for the school year.

HOURS:

• 40 Hours/Week
  • Half hour unpaid lunch break

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be licensed SLPA in the state of California
• Experience in schools is preferred
• Clean background check
• Negative TB test
• Clean drug test

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Relevant knowledge of school-based therapies.
• Both verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic technological skills with programs such as Microsoft word, excel, etc.
• Friendly and diplomatic, ability to work independently, and self-motivated.
• Patient and considerate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides speech-language therapy services and assists with administrative duties as assigned by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Caseload is composed of approximately 6-12 students
• Preparation & manipulation of assessment materials
• Document student performance & response to treatment, report findings to the supervising SLP, and assist with maintenance of records
