Overview

Connections is looking for a dynamic Windows Systems Engineer to join our team of IT Professionals. Windows System Engineers manage, monitor, and maintain our client environments leveraging automation tools, PowerShell, and best-in-class security platforms.

In this role you will:

• Administrate our systems management software tools.
• Build automation using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Monitor client environments to ensure systems are running reliably.
• Function as a 3rd level escalation point for technology issues
• Implement security apps, services, tools across all client environments
• Provide excellent customer service

Responsibilities

Windows Systems Engineers work at the direction of the Operations Manager to manage technology for our clients. You'll be responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring - services, systems, and networks according to our methodology.

Additionally, we have a strong focus on excellent customer service. You'll be required to provide excellent communication internally and externally as part of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree, business-related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years supporting current Windows Server technologies
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 through 2019
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and related services
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon AWS services
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems specifically Windows 10
• Experience with VMware vCenter and related technologies
• Experience with LAN and WAN technology and firewalls (Cisco switching and SonicWALL firewalls
• Microsoft, VMware, Cisco certifications preferred
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider
• Valid driver s license and insurance with reliable transportation. This position will require local travel
• Participation in a 1-week 24x7 on-call backup rotation, approximately every 2 months
