This position works closely with the organization's Executive Committee for programs under management by monitoring progress and conducting ongoing analyses to determine drivers of performance gaps. The incumbent has responsibility for providing the vision and strategic direction for Sullair's programs and incorporating the voice of our customer for product programs. The incumbent is accountable for new product development and associated launches, product life cycle management, pricing, brand management, and creation of programs. In addition to NPD programs, major business projects/initiatives will also an accountability. The incumbent must work optimally in a matrixed environment.

This position is located in Chicago, Illinois or Michigan City, Indiana.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead all activity of the Program Management Office including the scope, management and evaluation of cross-functional projects and programs.
  • Drive and own results of all managed programs that include budget alignment, timeliness and overall effectiveness of outcomes.
  • Create detailed project plans for all programs in order to effectively manage cross-functional teams within a Matrix reporting structure.
  • Deliver regular status updates on all active programs to Sullair's Executive Committee.
  • Demonstrate strong grasp of key business drivers.
  • Develop business cases to support initial sponsorship and/or continuation of programs under management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications or a technical discipline required or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred

Professional experience:

  • Ten years of industrial or automotive program management experience with senior management role.
  • Previous P&L management experience with $50 million+ business.
  • Understand industry best practices with ability to align with company goals.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and initiatives required.
  • Strategic leadership ability to inspire, influence, transform and achieve breakthrough results both internally and with external business partners to drive improved performance.
  • Strong financial evaluation and analytical capabilities required with experience in JDE, SAP, Databases and BI Tools.
  • Strong grasp of MS Office suite required.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentations.
  • Ability to work with global groups, helping drive consensus and trade off discussions.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of personal integrity supported by honest and open communication.
