Our client is a software company that provides financial institutions with cybersecurity solutions. Headquartered in Boston, MA, the company has been rapidly growing as the threat of fraud-related theft cyber attacks continues to grow. The company approaches these threats by developing machine learning solutions to detect emerging and existing forms of digital fraud.

The company is looking for a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership to the development team, both in the US and abroad. You will work on a rapidly evolving platform and will have the opportunity to transform customer feedback into value-creating features. The company's product is highly valuable to end users and is having a deep positive impact in the finance sector.

What you will be doing

• Affect the customer experience by implementing new developments and features.
• Serve as a leader to a small yet quickly growing team passionate about creating an industry-centric platform
• Work within a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, designing, building, and delivering an efficient and dependable code
• Work alongside various stakeholders across the company to guarantee the company's work is meeting the needs of customers, the market, and the organization itself
• Develop dynamic user experiences, delivering functionality and thus value

• Required skills and experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a software developer
• Interest in architecting, designing, building, maintaining, and supporting product development
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and making decisions with imperfect information
• Strong knowledge of modern SDLC processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team
• Previous experience as a software engineer at a startup

• Have a proven track record of the following:
  • Mentoring and leading fellow software engineers
  • Working on teams that have built, delivered, and maintained lucrative applications
  • Experience with working through the many complex challenges that come with the designing for scalability, resiliency, maintainability & security

• Have experience with one or more of the following technical areas:
  • Familiarity with the most popular cloud technologies on the market, including understanding architectural principles, specific tools, and their strengths
  • Work within an environment demanding scalability
  • JavaScript- based applications and frameworks
