Security & Technology Compliance Graduate Intern

Department Description:
The Security and Technology Compliance team is responsible for developing, communicating, and monitoring KP’s internal controls framework and security policies while providing security compliance consultations and external assurance.
Intern Projects:
Security and Technology initiatives which include but are not limited to:
- Readiness and operational tasks related to key projects/deliverables (PCI, SOC, SAR, internal tooling, etc.) Tasks may include assisting with external assessors/vendors evidence collection and review.
- Assist with security incident investigations (Process and event analysis, policy review, etc.)
- Tracking and analysis of regulation, organizational process/security changes, and impact assessment
- Special security projects (as assigned however may include internal initiates such as evidence mapping across regulations, development of tools, etc.

Computer Science; Business Administration; Math/Statistics; Public Health; Health Care Administration; Data Science

Accountability, transparency and proactive problem-solving skills (ie. ask questions if the request/deliverable is unclear, use KP tools to efficiently research/solve problem, keep colleague updated on progress, understand expectation and be open to learning/growing.). Adaptability, communication and collaboration skills (ie. work as a team, understand team member work styles, goals and objectives, talk with one another, etc.) Prioritization/time management skills Health care, IT security and/or Business process experience Microsoft office experience (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.) Foundational knowledge of data privacy and security using technology (ie. file permissions, proper handling of company data, file sharing, etc.)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.

- Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program from an accredited university within the last year.
- Bachelors degree required.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
