Process Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a Process Engineer to work with the design and overseeing projects through their completion. This is a fully remote opportunity requiring travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time. Small company rapidly growing which offers 100% paid health insurance monthly premiums

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in process systems within the Food and Beverage Industry is strongly preferred. Mechanical or Industrial Engineer or equivalent Experience with packaging experience is highly desired.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

Process engineering duties will include detailed design and specification of Automated food packaging systems. Designs work includes the generation of Process Flow Diagrams PFDs, P&IDs, development of detailed scope of work documentation, on-site construction, and startup visits (up to 25%) and proficiency using CAD.

• Strong Excel and Word skills are required.
• Must live within 45 minutes of a major Airport
• Design familiarity with current food safety plant design regulations, plant security regulations, and grocery auditing regulations.
• Project experience shall include past work in FDA regulated facilities.
• Knowledge with pumps and tank design.
• Have working knowledge of standard plant GMP policies.
• Candidate should be experienced in incorporating into their designs sanitation requirements of a process production area, which will include CIP and sanitation of the equipment.
• Candidate should be familiar with process equipment, and instrumentation required to create a fully automated system.
• Candidate should have knowledge on how the process system will be automated and provide direction in how the system shall be controlled by an automation team.
• Knowledge with DCS systems highly desired such as Honeywell
