Job Description Summary:
The successful candidates will receive the opportunity to be involved in and support various R&D projects within Cell and Gene Therapy R&D team, through conducting cell culture of immune cells and iPSCs (2D and 3D) and cell characterization (staining and flow cytometry, and similar).
Job Description*
Independently design and execute cell characterization studies and analyze data to support ongoing projects.
Assist with cell culture procedures in 2D and 3D
Maintain accurate and timely records to appropriate quality standards, prepare high quality technical analyses and reports for internal or external use.
Perform various laboratory experiments (after learning the systems and procedures) according to protocols and guidelines
Comply with strict safety procedures
Analyze, maintain and summarize data
Participate in planning research activities and track progress
Participate in general lab activities such as cleaning and maintaining lab supplies and equipment
Degree (required)*
Biology, bio or chemical engineering, biotechnology
Level*
Entry Level - 0-4 years
Knowledge and Skills:
Track record demonstrates capability to design and execute characterization assays and assist research projects with a high degree of independence
Knowledge
Required:
Immunology, Cell biology, molecular biology and basic biochemistry
Fundamentals of human cell culture
Strongly preferred:
Immunilogy/Developmental biology/regenerative medicine
Closed processing systems Data analysis/statistics
Skills
Required:
Aseptic technique / work with BSC level 2
Hands-on experience with cell culture
Good communication skills in both written and oral forms
Good interpersonal skills
Computer software skills including Microsoft Office
Accurate record keeping
Self-directed and self-motivated, willing to learn
Ability to work in a matrix team environment as well as independently on routine experiments
Strongly preferred:
Hands on experience with:
Multicolor flow cytometry
Culturing pluripotent stem cells
Culturing immune cells
Immuno staining
ELISA
