About the role:

As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

About the team:

You will be joining a dynamic team tasked with solving some of the most challenging problems our platform faces. You will work with senior engineers on scalability, efficiency, and process improvements which allow FIS to do more in a day as well as work on maintaining the application base on which new features are developed.

What you will be doing:

• 8 years experience in engineering
• Designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements.
• Interacting with product managers and users to define requirements and modifications.
• Participating in software design meetings to determine technical requirement
• Working with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams.

What you will need:

• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
• Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
• Experience with SQL, relational data modelling, and database schema design
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
• A bachelor's in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience with design and implementation of monitoring and responsive, self-healing resilient immutable platforms
• Knowledge of scalability levers in high volume, low latency transactional systems
• Some familiarity with application Servers (TomEE, WildFly, WebLogic, etc)
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, SBT, Webpack
