We are actively searching for a dynamic and seasoned Warehouse Manager to become a vital part of our team at our Hayward, CA facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing warehouse operations, emphasizing efficiency, accuracy, and strict adherence to safety standards.

This Warehouse Manager role is a full-time, salaried, leadership position that reports to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leaders across the organization and guide our team with a values-driven approach.

- HOW YOU LL CONTRIBUTE -

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and manufacturing staff, fostering a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform at their best.
  • Hands-on Warehouse Involvement: Work week will be divided between leadership duties and direct involvement in operational tasks such as Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, and more.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products within the warehouse. Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and stockouts. Reporting to management on the key performance indicators assigned to the warehouse.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline warehouse processes to enhance overall efficiency, ensuring timely, safe, and accurate order fulfillment. Implement best practices and continuous improvements to optimize space utilization and minimize operational costs.
  • Supply Chain Support: Ensure timely order fulfillment and collaborate with vendors and carriers to manage inbound and outbound logistics, negotiate terms, and track shipments.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and condition of products received and shipped. Conduct regular audits to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Cross Department Communication: Liaise with other departments, such as customer service and procurement, to coordinate activities and meet customer demands. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff to relay important information and updates.

- WHAT YOU HAVE -

  • 3-5 yrs. experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role in a distribution environment.
  • Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with software tools; MS Office, Teams, Outlook, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), and other relevant software. Bay Seal currently uses TrulinX ERP.
  • Desire to continue learning best practices, technology and industry trends.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
