The newly reimagined Web & Digital Strategy team within the Enrollment Management and Marketing division has been tasked with driving the College's web strategy to a new level. North Central is ranked as one of the most innovative Colleges in the nation. It will come as no surprise to know our goal is to be a leader in the Higher Education industry, developing best-in-class innovative web experiences, coupled with a fully integrated digital strategy. Our approach is highly user-centric. We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer with 2-3 years experience who is ready to take on the challenge of bringing our web strategy to the next level. The work performed on the College's websites, apps and supporting technologies, is key to a successful enrollment operation and of critical importance to the College. This position is part of a collaborative, cross-trained team supporting marketing and recruitment efforts.

Description of Key Responsibilities
Execute development, testing, and maintenance of new and existing websites and applications
Assist web infrastructure needs assessments and apply a project management approach to prioritizing workflow
Assess, test, and integrate third-party solutions (databases, authentication systems, vendor-supplied solutions, web APIs, modules, etc.) into the web environment
Lead and/or assist QA of all websites and applications to ensure compatibility across devices
Perform custom Drupal development and work with contributed modules and core API
Maintain Drupal and WordPress sites for security & compliance
Document code and procedures within best practices
Ensure websites are within Google CWV (core web vitals) excellent standing, and road-map solutions to address if there are deficits
Stay organized, detail-oriented, and flexible in order to maintain workflow progress on multiple projects that have competing deadlines
Identify, track, and resolve production issues expeditiously
Manage website development based ticketing system, in partnership with the Web & Digital Strategy team
Promote a flexible, collaborative, and inclusive work environment and engage in educational opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion
Key participant in an on-call schedule for unexpected and/or expected website downtimes, while collaborating with departments of infrastructure dependency
Other job-related duties as appropriately assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1 year experience in Drupal development preferred, minimum 2 years professional full-stack development experience required
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, AJAX, and SQL
Confident working with Twig templates
Comfortable using the Command-line
Using and maintaining build tools (Webpack, Gulp, yarn, etc.)
Working with package managers (npm, Composer, Homebrew)
Pantheon/Acquia (or relevant Drupal Cloud Hosting)
Familiar with object-oriented programming and confident/knowledgeable about RESTful APIs
Proficient with git or similar version control system
Ability to develop state of the art websites using the W3C standards, adhere to coding standards for the application being developed, and implement SEO best practices
Ability to document code and web projects clearly and concisely following best practices
Ability to communicate technical ideas to business users and other teams (design, Q.A.)
Willingness to pursue additional training and to share that knowledge to enhance the functionality and resources of the team
Ability to work on multiple projects with overlapping critical tasks
WordPress development experience (preferred)

Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related development field.

Experience
In lieu of formal education, 4-5 years of relevant work experience is required.
