Senior Software Engineer

The Genesys Cloud Media Technologies Group is responsible for our cloud-first media and telephony platform. This API consumed platform includes services for voice and video, media control, device management, and business logic. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that has a strong interest in cloud software development and a propensity for solving problems.

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Media Technologies Group DevOps Team you will join a team focusing on the development and delivery of business-critical services in a global deployment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where continuous change and innovation are certain. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Develop CI/CD tools that help development teams develop, deploy, and monitor our media platform
• Maintain and support the use of existing dev tools
• Identify bottlenecks and problems throughout the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Actively review code, mentor junior development staff, and provide peer feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve pain points as well as evangelize best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and come up with solutions as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work experience.
• 4+ years software development experience.
• Experience developing applications using Python, Go, C++, or other high level programming languages.
• Experience developing, managing, and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Linux, Linux kernel, and networking concepts.
• Experience with cloud technologies a plus.
• Ability to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open source tools, and development languages.

• Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.)
• Git
• Cmake or other cross-platform build automation, packaging, and installation tools
• Jenkins
• Ansible/Terraform
• Sumo/NewRelic
