If you're ready to innovate and lead in the Software Engineering space, join Nike's Global Architecture & Platforms (GAP) organization as a Principal Platform COE Architect! You will be part of a Center of Excellence organization that is revolutionizing Nike technology platforms and building a technology landscape that is simplified, modern, flexible and will ultimately enable Nike on its Digital Transformation journey.

The Global Architecture & Platforms Center of Excellence (GPCOE) team partners and engages with business and technology leaders across all the business functions within the enterprise, ensuring that the business capabilities, process, data insights / information, and technology needs are accurately collected and planned for short, medium, and long-term execution.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Architect with a robust technical background as well as the desire and ability to work closely with people across multiple teams within Nike. We need someone who has a passion for solving business challenges with creative, effective technology resolutions.

What you will work on

The Platform Center of Excellence (PCOE) is tasked with defining and enabling Nike's Platform Strategy, which focuses on delivery and evolution of composable technology platforms in all our various domains. This multi-year transformation requires focused attention and expertise, which PCOE provides in the form of guided transformation engagements led by a dedicated architect.

As a Principal Software Architect, you partner with others on the definition of platform boundaries and contracts, guiding and crafting technical design, instituting measurement and adoption of standardized patterns and tools.

This platform-led team is redefining how Nike development teams build and present their technology to each other internally - it's a platform-led approach vs. system-led. Platforms will enable technology to be reused and standardized- APIs, data definitions, where it's registered, etc. This team focuses on governance and building an ecosystem for software developers to use, rather than crafting everything from scratch.

Additionally, you will be defining process model(s), defining processes, defining standard methodologies, making process policy standards, and leading / guiding / influencing others.

Who you will work with

As a Software Architect within the Platform Center of Excellence, you will engage, collaborate, and partner with various members of multiple production teams across Nike. This involves providing these teams with sound technical advice within their respective domains.

You will embed with the teams who build and maintain Nike's production systems and services to help them embrace a platform develop approach and set of behaviors. You are able to influence people in your area of expertise.
