Staff Accountant

This Staff Accountant position is responsible for general staff accounting duties, including primarily assisting with month-end close, reconciliations, special projects and reporting, some support for billing/receivables and accounts payable functions.
Located in Alpharetta, GA, we are a government contractor accounting and advisory firm. We provide outsourced accounting, HR, and management consulting to companies in all industries, with a heavy emphasis on government contractor accounting.

Essential Duties:
- General accounting duties: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounting support for multiple clients
- Communications with vendors and government agencies
- Assist with invoice preparation for clients, as well as support for payroll and accounts payable functions as needed
- Preparing and processing ACH and Direct Pay transactions and appropriate accounting-Business licenses and small tax returns
- eDocument Filing
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Accounting degree required
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have strong skills in MS Office
- Must have strong math skills, able to compute percentages, as well as other basic math functions
- Must be a quick learner and have strong computer skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships in-person and on the phone with vendors, co-workers and clients
- Strong accounting theory knowledge required
- Must have high attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to respond quickly to requests, meet deadlines, and perform with initiative and self-direction
