What We Need
The Principal Systems Architect at WE Communications will be the technology lead on the Systems Engineering team that is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of our global enterprise. The current environment is a hybrid of Azure/Office 365 and on-prem services that support a highly mobile work force across 21 global offices. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the implementation of leading-edge Office 365 and Azure technologies spanning the M365 E5 suite of services.

What You'll Be Doing
Job responsibilities will require an advanced understanding of the following technologies. 10+ years of experience is recommended.
- Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, 0365 Administration, Intune, Azure MFA, Sentinel
- Active Directory (on premises and Azure AD) & Group Policy Management
- Azure IaaS
- Enterprise endpoint protection (Microsoft Defender or similar)
- Exchange Online (or other email system)
- Windows Server 2012 or newer
- Virtual Machine Management with Hyper-V (or VMware)
- Windows 10 or greater
- Windows Autopilot
- Scripting in PowerShell
- Microsoft System Center Operations and Configuration Manager
- Zero Trust principles
- Familiarity with macOS preferred
- JAMF mac administration preferred
In addition to direct management of these technologies, the Principal System Architect will be responsible for and participate in the following
- Coordination and execution of Systems Engineering projects.
- Maintain network and system documentation.
- Solve complex technical issues, both independently as well as with collaboration with colleagues and vendors.
- Build roadmaps, recommend new technologies, develop processes.
- Research industry trends and future-state technologies and incorporate that knowledge to future-proof our infrastructure.
- Recommend IT policies and standards associated with IT operations.
- Participate in the design and implementation of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
- Vendor relationship and engagement management, and initiate capital purchases.
- Server warranty contracts, Microsoft EA annual true-ups, and other service contracts.
- Participation in the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan. SE technical lead of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team.
- Mentorship of junior members of the team by providing training, documentation, and technical on-the-job coaching.
