Customer Service & Sales Support Representative

Job Type: Full-time, in-office
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Rate: Starting at $18 - $22 per hour (dependent on experience), plus full health benefits and retirement packages

JOB DESCRIPTION

Regional Distributors, Inc. is one of the largest distributors of commercial cleaning, food service, paper and packaging products and equipment in Western NY. We are looking for an energetic, highly attentive Customer Service & Sales Support Representative to join our enthusiastic, service-orientated team. The ideal candidate will possess highly effective listening and organizational skills, will have the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and uphold the company's exceptional level of service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process incoming orders from various sources, including online, phone and email.
• Handle a large volume of incoming calls from customers and outside sales reps.
• Greet customers warmly and assist with orders and inquiries.
• Record account/order information and maintain/update customer records.
• Actively listen to, report and resolve customer service and operations complaints in a timely and friendly manner.
• Maintain customer price files.
• Assist sales team with quotes, spreadsheets and other projects.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of our product offerings and our customers’ needs.
• Work closely with other departments in addition to Sales (Purchasing, Business Operations, Warehouse Operations, Marketing) in order to provide our customers with service beyond their expectations.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least two years of Customer Service and/or Sales Support experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related field is strongly preferred.
• Janitorial and/or food service industry experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

• Excellent listening, note-taking and organizational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, with excellent attention to detail.
• Must be extremely flexible, energetic and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and time management skills with strong ability to follow directions accurately, think proactively, set priorities and effectively translate and implement ideas.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn internal business systems and software.
