Position Summary:


The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Affinity Campaign to coordinate the management of seven different trade and affinity groups. In addition, this position will support UJA’s Scholar in Residence with the management of multiple (18-20+) study groups.  


Responsibilities include:



  • Support the development of systems and processes that allow for efficient and effective management of the affinity campaign. Coordinate weekly Campaign Director meetings and manage the follow up.

  • Organize and analyze fundraising reports to help with event follow up and open inventory. Consider trends and strategies that allow for more strategic and targeted fundraising. 

  • Coordinate logistics with Speakers Bureau, Events, Marketing and Communications, and the Missions department to ensure seamless coordination with our fundraising divisions.

  • Communicate regularly with UJA donors by email, phone and in person/virtual at events.

  • Help with staffing of senior lay leaders to ensure that they are prepared for events and solicitations. 

  • Manage calendar, scheduling, and coordination for all Jewish learning groups led by the UJA Scholar-in-Residence. 

  • Assist in other activities related to Jewish learning from transcribing documents to organizing large scale events like the community Shabbat celebrations and commemorations.

  • Be an integral part of the Affinity team, partnering with colleagues on events and lending support wherever and whenever necessary.


Competencies and Qualifications: 



  • Experience for 1 year+ in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to build effective collaborative relationships with colleagues and donors. 

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, dealing with changing priorities, emergent issues, and multiple projects. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written.

  • Must be a flexible self-starter.

  • Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for the mission of UJA.

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 


Salary Information:


The salary range for this role is $45,000 – $50,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
