Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Open Heart Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN), you will care for patients that are undergoing surgical procedures - these surgical procedures may be scheduled and/or emergent situations. You will be part of a 2 person team (RN and Scrub Tech) that will work alongside of physicians and other healthcare professionals in the OR. The RN's main role is to care for the patient during the procedure assuring that the surgical procedure is prepped and carried out following protocol in a compliant organized fashion.

Tasks and responsibilities, you will:

• Assess, plan and evaluate patient care needs.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
• Assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition, as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation system.
• Provide age and culturally appropriate care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) or ARC CPR
  
• 1 - 3 years' experience
• CNOR preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
