In this position, you will provide general administrative help and secretarial assistance to the Legal & Integrity Function, Electrification Business Area. You will act as a point of contact for enquiries, providing solutions for those within your scope and escalating those that require it.

You will be performing complex administrative activities for the US (United States) marketing / market development and human resources functions and support other Electrification activities.

Your responsibilities

  • 1Administrative support: Performs complex administrative activities and takes responsibility for delivering specific department processes / programs
  • Documentation: Researches, compiles and issues special reports, presentations, organization charts, correspondence, etc. Produce a variety of documents using multiple software packages. Manipulate data on spreadsheets and/or database software programs, applying new formulae and formats
  • Communication: Responsible for different communication tasks within the area of responsibility, ensuring knowledge and information is shared and keeping others up to date. Assemble material for meetings and attend meetings, as requested
  • Processes: Implements ABB processes and initiates continuous improvement of administrative processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • 5Confidential support: Acts as point of contact for internal/external enquiries by phone and email, initiates action and makes judgments about urgency of issues. Provides confidential support to individual executives and/or management team members
  • Events: Arranges business critical internal / external events, including travel arrangements, itineraries, accommodation, conference registration, visiting speakers etc
  • Financial support: Provides financial support on a department / project level, monitoring budget spend and raising and approving purchase orders / requisitions / invoices, etc
  • Continuous improvement: Work with peers to improve administrative processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness

Your background

  • High School diploma and minimum 8 years of experience
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal capabilities
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Experience performing successfully in a diverse and challenging administrative role
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
