- As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will help the server team do operational and project-based work so that we can support our business to reach its maximum potential. You will have a very visible role into improving our current processes so that we can be more efficient in our responsible areas. To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable in leading the charge to make positive change in the infrastructure and promoting constant improvement. We have teams of leaders in our organization, every single individual is expected to lead in their respective area.
- Serve in a senior role on the systems engineering team. You will provide guidance to all other team members for architecture.
- Automate, Automate, Automate. We use Ansible as our automation platform and have a licensed Tower infrastructure to maintain 1000's of endpoints.
- We want to further develop common systems administration tasks into fully automated, no touch' workflows.
- Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting skills to accomplish daily tasks, which could include the breakdown and problem solving of difficult issues.
- Vulnerability management related tasks, which also includes being in a rotation of people who oversees weekly automated patch deployments.
- Worked in a previous role that would resemble someone working in a DevOps position. Experience with git, agile processes, etc. is a must.
- Experience in automation, specifically around Linux systems administration and various open source application components.
- Have developed and/or contributed to processes in deploying servers into on-prem virtual environments that are highly automated in nature.
- Ability and history of performing systems administration tasks at scale.
- Familiarity in administration of various open source projects, such as: RabbitMQ, Tomcat.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts as it relates to TCP/IP configuration/subnetting/troubleshooting, Load Balancing, L4 protocols such as http, dns, etc.
- Working knowledge of TLS, including secure cipher suite configurations, troubleshooting related issues, etc.
- Understands Windows Active Directory infrastructure and various components that run on the Windows platform, such as IIS, DNS, DHCP.
- Ability to perform Vulnerability Management tasks which includes identifying and resolution. Rapid7, Ivanti Patch, Bladlogic, Redhat Satellite experience is desired.
- Someone who understands how to monitor systems effectivity and put in place.
