Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory is seeking an experienced professional to advise and support our key financial services industry clients along cloud transformation journeys. As a Manager you will be tasked with leading client engagements, driving opportunities in the marketplace and helping enhance the practice capabilities. In this role, you will engage with our client stakeholders to understand their core business and technology challenges, helping clients manage risks around digital transformations and cloud adoption, navigating regulatory compliance, and support cloud transformation programs and initiatives for mid to large scale organizations.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will interact directly with senior business and technology executives across the financial services industry. You will bring exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, business judgment, and technical expertise to cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong technical background, and you should be customer-focused with a passion for using cloud to drive business value and managing digital risk. You should have a deep understanding of the capital markets and investment management ecosystem, including the key business processes and technology components that underpin core financial capabilities.

Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Evaluating cloud related global regulatory compliance posture, including mandatory regulations and associated obligations
  • Mapping regulatory obligations to control objectives and instances, including the identification of possible control enhancement or gaps
  • Enhancement of existing enterprise risk and records management policies and procedures to align with regulatory obligations and industry best practices
  • Design, development and implementation of processes to manage final disposition (destruction, archival, or preservation) of organization data/ records
  • Development and enhancement of functional and technical standards to enable cloud adoption
  • Review and enhancement of control frameworks and management to adapt to the impact of cloud migration, including supporting development of third-party control ownership metrics and performance indicators
  • Supporting large-scale cloud migration programs from legacy technology ecosystems to AWS/GCP/Azure/Salesforce environments
  • Providing training and development support to both internal and external stakeholders using your cloud experiences and lessons learned

  • 3+ years of experience supporting a financial services organization's global regulatory compliance function
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Strategy and Implementation for mid or large size organizations (this includes private/public Clouds - on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMWare)
  • 3+ years of experience defining and implementing governance and restructuring IT departments to optimally manage cloud environments and cloud-native applications
  • 3+ years of experience defining and implementing governance and restructuring IT departments to optimally manage cloud environments and cloud-native applications
  • Experience in leading/supporting multi-stream cloud transformation programs and initiatives for mid to large scale organizations
  • Experience in recommending application cloud migration dispositions (rehost, re-platform, refactor, replace, retire) based on technical and business requirements
  • Experience in performing impact assessments for risk domains regarding emerging technologies, including third party, enterprise, operational, concentration, and regulatory risk
  • Relevant experience in leading reviews of clients' technology landscapes to identify a range of business-valued cloud uses cases and selecting the preferred public cloud platform for each use case
  • Experience with common industry frameworks, including NIST, COBIT, ISO and COSO, and their application to digital transformation initiatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
  • Ability to qualitatively and quantitatively assess both business and technology challenges
  • Well-versed with current trends in cloud computing technologies
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on technical development experience on Cloud platforms and related DevSecOps Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) domains.
  • Professional cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft, Salesforce) and project management (e.g., PMP) certifications preferred
