Remote Senior Accountant
Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for permanent employment in the Lake Shore, Maryland area. This position is mainly remote, but must be able to attend office meetings occasionally. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, strong knowledge of ERP and ADP, and possess excellent analytical skills.
Ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including but not limited to internal and external monthly financial statements, budgets v. actuals, and annual audits
Ensure that all accounts payable (A/P) are processed in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure that the accounts receivable (A/R) activities are operating effectively and efficiently, including accurate and timely management of all A/R aging components (e.g. billings, cash receipts application), to assure that company accounts can accurately fund payroll, A/P and other obligations
Manage fixed asset process and inventory compliance
Update status of capital projects and maintain within the ERP system
Perform financial and accounting data analysis and generate financial reports
Assist with the development of the annual budgets and update 12-month forecast
Requirements
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
Bachelors Degree required
Strong familiarity with ADP Financial Services
Solid understanding of Accounting Software Systems
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Foundational knowledge in enterprise resource planning
Fixed assets experience
Well-founded grasp of GAAP Accounting
Proven knowledge of forecasting
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail
