Job Description

This is an Inside Sales position within our company's Animal Health business unit, focusing on Canine and Feline products. Candidates will be responsible for contacting veterinary customers via the telephone to initiate relationships and promote, position, and sell our products. To accomplish this, the Regional Sales Specialists are responsible for contacting decision makers to discuss product needs, increase product occupancy, expand market penetration, and acquire sales. Performance is measured on sales achievement vs. goal, as well as targeted promotions and other performance standards consistent with operating objectives.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Develop and manage long term relationships with key veterinary practices to uncover needs, identify opportunities and generate recommendations to achieve sales targets.
  • Partner with assigned sales regions to create business plans, nurture leads and execute strategies in targeted accounts for optimal customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • Leverage multi-channel approach to remotely engage specific customers with customized content and offers.
  • Utilize Veeva CRM to identify customer opportunities to bring value and increase touchpoints.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Successful candidate must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Experience selling animal healthcare products and services through veterinary and/or shelter channel is preferred.
  • Knowledge of biological and pharmaceutical products and the ability to engage in dialogue with medical professionals is a plus.
  • Understanding and past experience working with distribution.
  • Able to quickly build trust and rapport with customers.
  • Good time management and strong organizational skills.
  • Documented sales experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a digital environment using MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook and Salesforce.
  • Use analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution.
